About Us

Every thread
has a story

Tahi was born from a desire to reconnect fashion with purpose.

Our founder, Tati Miranda-Fortuna, began her journey making corporate apparel, where she witnessed the waste and disposability embedded in fast fashion systems. That awakening led her home — not just to slow fashion, but to her roots.

Raised by a mother who served as both a doctor and cultural steward in Kalinga, Tati grew up surrounded by color, tradition, and stories woven into cloth. Inspired by these vibrant weaving traditions — and driven by a desire to build a more sustainable future — she began to reimagine what conscious clothing could look like.

In developing the brand, Tati collaborated with her good friend Jun Escario, whose nearly 30-year career in haute couture brings elevated design and sophistication to TAHI. Tati grounds the process in sustainability; Jun infuses it with fashion-forward elegance. Together, they strike a creative balance — a collaboration that is as intentional as it is inspired.

Timeless style, woven with purpose

TAHI is a philosophy as much as it is a fashion brand. Each piece is a quiet act of resistance against disposability, fast trends, and cultural erasure.

We collaborate with Filipino artisans and weaving communities to bring traditional textiles into everyday wear — reimagining heritage through modern silhouettes. By using natural fibers, deadstock fabrics, and locally woven materials, each collection becomes a reflection of tradition made timeless: purposeful, enduring, and grounded in sustainability.

We create intentional clothing for the thoughtful dresser — garments that honor the stories of those who made them, the traditions they emerged from, and the lives they now move with.

We create essentials
that endure

We craft versatile capsule pieces inspired by classic workwear, tailored for modern routines and rituals. Designed to endure in both style and structure, each garment can be worn often, worn well, and handed down like stories and traditions.

We believe in fewer things,
made better

From the threads we choose to the hands that weave them, every step of our process honors people and planet.

Materials

We use responsibly sourced natural fibers, repurposed deadstock fabric, and heritage weaves.

People

We nurture long-term partnerships with Filipino artisans and weaving communities.

Practices

We embody slow fashion principles that prioritize quality over quantity, and longevity over novelty.

We’re not just responsible for ourselves.
We carry a responsibility to our country,
to our culture,
to our heritage,
and to the Earth.
It’s about buying better, buying less, and making it last.”
